Board Chair

Cassie has over 20 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army, where she retired as a lieutenant colonel. Cassie has expertly led high-performing teams through some of the military's most challenging situations. As the founder of Iterata, she is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their leadership potential, and also mentors within the Venture Mentoring Team and serves on the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association. Cassie’s dedication to resilience, empowerment, and fostering growth is an invaluable asset to our mission.

Board Vice Chair

Dr. Michael Southworth is a vascular surgeon affiliated with multiple hospitals in the southern Maine and New Hampshire areas. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 30 years. He was our founder’s mentor in vascular and wound care practice for many years prior to joining our board.

Board Secretary

Michelle has been a life-long creative thinker and designer. She spends time managing project flow as the VP of MacDougall’s and is an expert in crafting client solutions. She uses her passion for the design process to understand, interpret and communicate visual concepts via dynamic websites, compelling print materials, engaging interactive experiences and robust branding strategies.

Board Treasurer & Multifaceted volunteer

After losing her leg in March 2021 due to a vascular condition and learning about our founder & organization, Jill reached out to share her valuable time and knowledge. With nearly 30 years in real estate, she has exceptional people skills and is an expert at helping others navigate transitions in living quite literally. She brings our team enhanced diversity, experience and passion.

Daniel is a strategic and results-drive Vice President, Human Resources and HR Consultant. He has extensive experience in talent management, workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement while fostering a high-performance culture that attracts, retains and develops top talent.

Taylor is a New Hampshire Associate Broker with Bell Tower Commercial Real Estate Group, specializing in commercial property management, sales, and leasing, as well as the owner of Sands Solutions LLC, a veteran-owned residential property management company. A retired U.S. Army Captain with 22 years of military service and an occupational therapist, Taylor brings a practical, service-driven perspective shaped by leadership, healthcare, and business to help individuals maintain their independence and quality of life.

Kelli brings a diverse background in marketing, entrepreneurship, and non-profit development to the board. Formerly the Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving for the YMCA of Greater Nashua, she leverages her passion for authentic storytelling and relationship-building to help expand resources and partnerships for the limb loss community.

Chief Business Officer

Emily blends analytical rigor with creative strategy to accelerate non-profit missions. Holding degrees in communications, design, and business, she specializes in business development, strategic planning, and scalable systems, working remotely and traveling to build mission-aligned partnerships and vibrant communities.

Executive Administrator

Terry has several decades of administrative experience that she generously lends to our organization and is the office manager of the Nashua Teacher’s Union.

H.O.P.E. Program Director

Jane turns “we should do this” into reality by bringing both structure and heart to team leadership. Passionate about storytelling, photography, and community connection, she leads with the belief that attention is a form of care and that every detail matters in creating lasting, meaningful impact.

A quality improvement professional, Juliet is passionate about supporting teams, refining processes, and enhancing outcomes. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to continuous growth, she brings a focus on meaningful impact to her role- and enjoys cooking and hiking in her free time.

Beneficiary Relations Specialist

Intake Director

Jean is an accomplished and diversely trained retired nurse with over 40 years of clinical and surgical experience. She worked closely with our founder in the OR and at vascular practice for several years prior to retiring from nursing and joining our volunteer team in early 2021 to direct our clinical intake process for amputee beneficiaries.

Beneficiary Relations Intake Specialist

Alissa is a knowledgeable amputee with a lot of personal clinical experience who thrives on helping others better understand the landscape of their limb loss journey, advocate for themself and feel connected to the community. She is also a talented business & marketing expert.

Beneficiary Relations Specialist

A below-the-knee amputee following a teenage NF1 diagnosis, Hillary now works in the orthotics and prosthetics industry to help new amputees navigate their journeys with confidence and hope. Outside of work, she is an active runner, half-marathoner, crafter, and avid sourdough baker.

Director of Running Blades

Sierra is a Manufacturing Engineer with and an advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is a problem solver, finds prosthetics fascinating and loves working with the systems of the body.

Volunteer Manager

Klara is an HR professional with experience supporting organizations through people-focused HR, recruitment, onboarding, volunteer engagement, and organizational development. She brings a strong interest in building inclusive, well-structured organizations where people feel supported and able to contribute meaningfully. Her experience working with volunteers, developing HR processes and policies, and supporting teams across different functions allows her to bring both a practical HR perspective and a genuine commitment to social impact.

Lydia is a dedicated Administrative and HR professional skilled in streamlining operations, managing correspondence, and supporting organizational initiatives. She applies her HR expertise in onboarding, coordination, and record management to support our volunteer stewardship program. Driven by a passion for community-centered growth, Lydia focuses on creating structured, welcoming environments where volunteers thrive and advance our mission.

Technical Operator

Tanya is a New Hampshire–based tech generalist who helps Less Leg More Heart run smarter, faster, and more securely. Her toolkit span is impressive and her superpower is turning messy requests into streamlined, dependable systems that scale our mission’s impact.

Media Specialist

Zach became a left below knee amputee in November 2022 after an accident beginning of the same year. Diagnosed with CRPS, his leg was eventually amputated after his foot and ankle lost circulation and necrotic. He has experience working in nonprofits and in a variety of creative capacities, including video and photo editing, graphic design and photography.

Social Media Specialist

Lavinia is a college student who elects to give her limited time and talent to our marketing committee through social media graphic design and publication.

Donor Steward

Tracey brings a diverse background in creative and customer-focused roles to her work as a Donor Stewardship Volunteer. Following a below-the-knee amputation in 2025, she channeled her resilience into giving back. Today, she helps build and strengthen the meaningful relationships with donors that make Less Leg More Heart’s mission possible.

With nearly a decade of experience, Andrea is a communications and project professional specializing in strategic messaging, digital content, and community engagement. She combines creative campaign strategy with data-driven insights to build meaningful connections and amplify Less Leg More Heart’s mission
